flying into a rage
Mood:  on fire
Topic: lazy thoughts
auntie jenise invited mummy & i for lunch today. i was feeling great, since hammer & i have some catching up to do...
but when he saw me (hairless), he couldn't stop laughing ... *huff* he continues to tease me like i'm sinead o'conner or something (OLD JOKE!)...
naturally, i got pissed and we escalated into a verbal fight. we were making some much noise that auntie jenise hurled him 'behind bars'...(locked hammer in the kitchen).
a while later, when we were both clear- headed, we apologised to each other...and shared our lamb chops together, just like we always do...Link to Photo Album angry

no friends...
Mood:  energetic
Topic: lazy thoughts
as previously mentioned, it's the lunar 7th month (a.k.a the hungry ghost festival),and granny will not allow me to go out after dark (as i'm the baby of the foo clan).
so,my walk routine is temporary changed from 5pm to 6pm daily.
i dislike the timing! why? because, it's so hot!!! and my paw friends will only come out for walks after 6pm, when the sun starts to set...
so, it means that i'm the only silly dog walking under the scorching sun! *huff*

lunar 7th month
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: lazy thoughts
well, i asked granny to take me to the park for a walk, but she refused.
granny said that since its the lunar 7th month now, i'm advised to stay home after dark. she reminded me that i had fits last year, during this period. granny believes its the 'dirty things' (evil spirits/ ghosts) that was making me ill previously.(the different significance of 7th lunar month for the chinese & buddhists)
***The Chinese, however, believed that the gates of Hell are opened on the first day of the seventh lunar month and they will close on the last day of the seventh lunar month. The ghosts may visit the world between these days. Food offerings are made during this time to relieve the sufferings of these ghosts. On the fifteenth day, Ullambana or Ancestor Day, people visit cemeteries to make offerings to the departed ancestors. It is said that people who are not careful at night or down in luck are likely to meet ghosts and get into trouble as a result. Thus, many activities are taboo in the seventh month. These including leaving the house, having an operation, getting married, buying a house, moving house and having a baby. The 7th Month is indeed a scary month for the Chinese society. ***
***the buddhists: Making offerings to the Buddha and monks on this day accumulates one's blessings and relieves the suffering of one's parents from seven lifetimes. This is also the significance of the Ullambana Festival thanksgiving ceremony held in monasteries and temples during the seventh lunar month. ***
so, i guess, i have curfew after all....

coco & cookie
Mood:  a-ok
Topic: lazy thoughts
their profile: coco & cookie are mummy's friend's babies. she is also a nurse, but prefers to work in australia. therefore, for the most part of their childhood & teenage years, cocco & cookie are taken care of by their mummy's family.
they had hardly get to see their mummy; maybe once a year(for a maximum of 2 weeks) during chinese new year. and, coco & cookie miss their mummy so much.
much to their delight, their mummy came back few months ago. they thought it's for good this time. she stayed longer this time, and tried to compensate them for lost times.... they had hoped to see their mummy everyday, to do the normal things together: strolling, playing & feeding, etc....
but the bomb was dropped today *sigh* their mummy is leaving for australia, again.
they felt the immense pain & fear , yet again.

Mood:  lyrical
Topic: lazy thoughts
mummy took me to tampines park to celebrate our nation's 40th birthday. this year, there are 5 locations to celebrate this special occasion simultaneously.
it is more exciting since everybody can participate near their neighborhood, as the tickets to the national day parade @ Padang is limited. but the best thing is, i can feel the electrifying atmosphere too *giggle*

just after mummy shaved my fur yesterday resembling a certain manga white lion, this morning uncle jeff & auntie ruth added salt to my 'injury' (ego)....*sob sob*
they went ahead & shaved my remaining fur on my face & legs! *wail & weep*
immediately, i called my buddy for comfort...she came to me and hold me in her arms to soothe my aching, breaking heart...

Aug. 6, 1945, nuclear bomb hit hiroshima. it claimed 242,437 victims (@ last count)...
140,000 out of an estimated population of 350,000 died instantly. Thousands more died of illness and injuries later.

(prior to the bombing, countless chinese in china & south east asia were slaughtered, impaled & murdered during the world war II, not forgetting other ethnic races; in another part of the world, during this time, adolf hitler also engineered his cruel ambitions towards the jews & other countries)

its the 60th anniversary today.

human race still hasn't learnt the bitter lessons yet...
